Unedited camera roll from my trip to Calgary. Thank you to all who visited us @festivalofcrafts and to @k.itbate for providing stellar banter! It was my first time showcasing Lazy Maisie Creates outside of BC and I enjoyed the whole experience and seeing another part of Canada. It was my first time driving 11+ hrs in one day and I found it exhausting, but the beautiful scenic drive kept my attention! I will spend the next week resting up and creating more pieces, finishing up some custom orders and prepping for our next show!

What a beautiful city! I drove to Calgary last night and by the time I got in, it was pitch black so I didn't get to see much of it. I woke up this morning to a gorgeous sunny day! Thanks for the warm welcome! I was however a bit baffled by the horizontal traffic lights. Not only were they horizontal but they presented 2 red stop lights...I guess incase you Albertans were feeling cheeky! But not only this, there were several that had 2 horizontal stop lights that operated the same, at the same time...can anyone explain why this is? That's a lot of lights to look at and I wonder if this is more confusing??? Anyone else?

Happy Thanksgiving fam! Time spent with loved ones is what I hold most dearest! Grateful for friends, family, friends who we call family and neighbours!

A lot of thought goes into making each piece. What pearl should I use? Should I alternate them or keep them uniform? Would some gold detail add to it? Where should I place everything? How long should it be? Are they too big? Are they too small? How would you wear it? I think the Baroque pearl deserves more than just any old clasp. Should the clasp form part of the look of the necklace? A great necklace is considered, thought out and admired.

Behind the scenes at @lazymaisiecreates, sometimes we have to get a little goofy to get through the day! Little known fact, business bestie @hollowtree1871 shares a house with me in the mountains. We often get together to have SERIOUS business chats but humpday Wednesday has us ready in sweatpants wanting to snuggle up and play hookie on a school day! ....sadly the fun was brief as small business life runs 24/7! Back to work we go!

As we finish one season and head in to the next, the changing colours of the trees, the smell of the rain, the urge to move on to new adventures and new beginnings, we remember the beautiful summer that we've had. Creating new memories and building on our relationships.

With just over a month to go until show season starts, it's time to talk schedules, wholesale orders, custom orders and dare I say, Christmas!

I have been waiting a long while for someone to ask me to make a bike. This one is specifically a downhill bike and was requested by a visitor on holiday. I was given a deadline of 2 days. Made with sterling silver, this was a fun little project and I'm very happy with the results, so much that I nearly kept it for myself. Were I given more time, I would like to have made the wheels perhaps as moving pieces ....any takers? Hit me up with your custom work and give me a good challenge!
